Events

During the year, the Student Association organises and supports various events. During visiting days for high school students, the FCBP is present with a stand to provide information about the study programme and to answer questions.
Other annual events organised by the FCBP are the welcome event “1S” in September, the Chlouse Punsch in December and the Ibupro-Fetä at the end of the spring semester. In addition, the Bierochemie takes place 2 to 3 times during the semester.
The student association also collaborates closely with the Career Service to organise events related to career entry. Various companies and institutions present themselves during these events, providing networking opportunities.

1S Welcome Event

At the 1S welcome event, you can get to know each other better and ask any questions, whether big or small, to current and former students. The lab part of this day is expected to last until around 4 p.m. Between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., there will be speeches by two guests who have already completed their university journey. Following this, there will be a reception where you can interact with each other and have the chance to speak with various members of the student association. Starting from 6 p.m., the reception will be open to everyone at DCBP.

Career-Catalyst

In cooperation with the Career Service of the University of Bern, the Student Association organises events on career entry. Companies and institutions are invited to answer questions about career entry and opportunities. This offers an excellent opportunity to make initial contacts with these companies and institutions.
In addition, we organise events for all students who are interested in research. Our next Career Service event will take place on 9 November in the form of a catwalk. If certain companies or institutions arouse your interest, please let us know and email us.

Bierochemie

The Bierochemie event takes place 2-3 times per semester in the Woker-Mensa. Students of the DCBP and other degree programmes, doctoral students, lecturers, friends and acquaintances are invited. You can sit together in a cosy atmosphere with a beer (or two), exchange ideas, make new contacts and spend a pleasant evening in a friendly atmosphere.

Chlousepunsch

At the beginning of December, the Student Association organises a mulled wine bar with other delicious warm delicacies. At the entrance to the DCBP, you can enjoy a cup of this delicious drink for a small fee!

Ibupro-Fetä

Ibupro-Fetä – the new cure for monotonous everyday life

In cooperation with the Bierhübeli, the FCBP organises the legendary student party Ibupro-Fetä once a year.
How to use it: Take your ticket to the Bierhübeli on the night in question and let yourself be carried away by the beats of the current charts to the popular party classics. Possible side effects may include headaches and mild nausea the following day, which are best combated by taking ibuprofen (200-400 mg).

For more information on risks and side effects, ask your chemistry, biochemistry and pharmacy department.
